If it's expected and intended that RC3 becomes Release (I am pretty sure),
there should be a hint in the Release notes like "AOO 4.0.1 public Release is
bit by bit identical with 4.0.1 RC3, early testers do not need to install the
official release if they already have installed RC3".
I just uninstalled RC3 and installed Release, only to see that they are
identical.
I would have done the addition (with a hint on dev-list for confirmation that
my assumption is correct), but I can't edit cwiki because of Bug 123435.
