Pink box visible

I use Openoffice on a windows system and on two ubuntu systems. The windows
version works well with the rest of the OS and there is really no problem
there. However, the ubuntu version clashes with the rest of the OS. The basic
OS color is light to dark blue and is a custom setting. Openoffice completely
ignores this and instead displays selected buttons and elements in a range of
colors from orange to pale pink.

I need to know if there is a way to change the color to blue so it looks more
like the way it does in Windows. The orange isn't actually so bad but the pink
used for working with the new text boxes is just embarrasing. I've already
tried every setting in tools - options - appearance. I've even tried going
into the settings for the ambiance theme on Ubuntu to change the color but
nothing seems to work so far.
