This isn't a bug, in the sense that the sidebar is changing the properties of
the style, not the style itself by another one.
The context menu in the status bar switches to another page style.
The controls in the sidebar change properties in that style.
To check this:
- New writer document
- right click "Default" in status bar and select "Landscape"
- Sidebar - Properties - Page - Orientation -> select Portrait
- open the stylist with F11, edit the page style named "Landscape", in tab
"Page" the orientation is now "Portrait", this was the change made by the
sidebar.
So, not a bug.
