When I doubleklick on the drawing, OO-Draw is started but it takes a (long) while until you can see the complete drawing. Then export to JPEG with 600 dpi (which is the maximum). Maybe it depends on the PC (hardware), operating-system, storage etc. ... no idea. I will try to find someone else with an OO-installation and try it there to see the difference. Nevertheless I've created a circumvention: opened an empty drawing, select background only, export this to JPEG (which works) and import this picture as background in the drawing.
