Screen shot of installation failure & explanatory pop up

I've used Open Office for many years updating as new versions came out without
problem, until 4.0.1, when I had to search my hard drives for any reference to
open office, and delete them before I could get this version to install. Took
several days of fiddling about, but then I eventually got it working, and was
once again very happy.
I got the update notification, and immediately updated from your website. I
forgot about my previous issues, and did not delete 4.0.1 before installing
4.1.0. It did not install properly. I deleted 4.0.1 and tired to reinstall
4.10. It still didn't work. I deleted all the open office downloads, and tried
to reinstall 4.0.1 which I knew had worked fine.
Now it doesn't matter which version I try to download and install, I always get
the same error message, which I've hopefully attached successfully.
If not, its a pop up that comes on when the copying new files progress
indicator is approx 3/4 of the way across its bar. The message says:
Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file
'D:\\WINDOWS|Installer\openoffice401.msi.'
I can find no reference to that file on my hard drive when searching it. As
I've said I've deleted everything that I can see relates to open office from my
downloads, program file, temporary files, desktop, recycle bin and even the
browser history. I've now spent several evenings and a full weekend on this.
I've downloaded the files, repeatedly, from your web site, and several mirror
sites, but the stumbling block is always the same.
Can someone please help fix this. Over the years I've created many documents
and spreadsheets. The thought of not being able to open them again makes me
appreciate what it must feel like to be subject to ransom ware!
Thanking you in anticipation of your assistance
