Issue ID: 126156 Issue Type: DEFECT Summary: cannot change font color of cell text Product: Calc Version: 4.1.0 Hardware: All OS: Linux64 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P5 Component: editing Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org Reporter: richardbrucebax...@hotmail.com Created attachment 84569 --> https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=84569&action=edit AOO-bugDemo-cannotChangeFontColourOfCellText Sometimes the user can't change the font colour of a cell's text (only when saving the file and reopening openoffice does the font colour show). To replicate the issue; 1. create new calc document 2. enter a value in A1 which is greater than the cell width, eg "safasvdsvuddsvd1". 3. enter a value in B1 which is greater than the cell width, eg "davadivnaiovnadf". 4. select A1 by left clicking with mouse and set font colour, eg "Red" 5. select B1 by left clicking with mouse and set font colour, eg "Blue" 6. left click column "B" (this should highlight the entire column) 7. right click on column "B" - insert columns (this should insert a new column B, while shifting the original column B to column C) 8. enter into cell C1 (double click on Cell C1, or press F2) 9. select cell C1 text (double click again on Cell C1, or manually select cell C1 text with the mouse) 10. copy cell C1 text (press Ctrl-C) [IMPORTANT regarding steps 8->10; NB just copying the entire cell C1 instead of its textual contents will not trigger the bug] [IMPORTANT regarding steps 7->10; sometimes the bug can be triggered by copying the cell contents of another cell, eg A1 instead of C1, but not for this specific example; it appears to depend on other features of the document, eg the number of cells/columns/rows] 11. enter into cell B1 (double click on Cell B1, or press F2) [IMPORTANT regarding step 11: just left left clicking cell B1/selecting cell B1 will not trigger the bug] 12. paste the cell contents (press Ctrl-V) 13. exit cell B1 (press enter) 14. select B1 by left clicking with mouse and set a new font colour, eg "Green" expected behaviour; font colour of B1 is changed to green actual behaviour; the font colour of B1 does not change to green (it stays blue) [however note both the font colour icon and Format - Cells - Font effects - Font colour both show Green] Note when saving the file, and reopening, the font colour will display correctly. This appears to relate to bug 126004 (https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126004), because it appears to only occur when the cell contents are greater than the cell width. I have attached a template ods file, which can be used to demonstrate the bug when following the above instructions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
