doc/docx files read by MS Word but not OO Writer
Hi everyone
We have a VB app that generates doc/docx reports using TX text control OCX
The default text processor is then called to read the file
Reports are made using a template doc file filled with Word merge fields in
which data (text, image, tables, merge fields, ...) is plugged during the
report build to generate the final doc/docx file
Basically, all our customers are using MS Word but one customer is using solely
Open Office and informed us of a pb
The reports read well in MS word (2010 on PC, 2011 and 2016 preview on Mac)
But when read in OpenOffice 4.1.1 Open writer :
DOC report : is a total mess (images missing, tables upside down,
merge fields upside down, etc...)
DOCx report : is even worse (pages are here but nearly empty)
I attach 2 reports with this ticket : files which read in Woed but not in OO
Could you tell me what is wrong in the format of the report that OO doesn't
understand ???
