Shut computer down. Restarted computer. The program believes > that the document saved .ods is an import. I really need this document back > up and running pronto. please help!! Pamela, I inspected the file that you uploaded. It is only 27.18 kb (very small). There is no data in it -- it is an empty file -- which is why Calc is trying to open it as an imported text file. It appears that the document was not saved properly and there is nothing in the file to recover. It is possible that you did not wait long enough between the Save and the computer shut-down. It is important that you have a practice of keeping backups of important files and not saving edits on top of them in order to prevent situations where a latest one is damaged or corrupted and effectively loses all that you had. It is probably a technical issue to find a way to have more safeguards against shutting down before a save actually completes, but that needs to be treated with a separate defect. There may be an issue, but there is no consolation for you. The file you last saved appears to be lost. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
