Francis Darius <fdarius2...@my.fit.edu> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |fdarius2...@my.fit.edu --- Comment #10 from Francis Darius <fdarius2...@my.fit.edu> --- I was able to reproduce this bug with the following configuration: • Windows 10 PC • OpenOffice Writer version 4.1.2 • Microsoft Word 2016 32-bit The following steps successfully reproduced the bug: 1. Opened OO Writer 2. Typed two sentences on separate lines e.g. (1) “I am using this sentence as a test.” (hit enter) and (2) “This is another sentence for testing; the one that usually disappears.” 3. Saved the file as Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc) 4. Close OpenOffice Writer 5. Launch Microsoft Word 2016 6. Open the saved file from step 3 7. When opened, the second line should not be visible. I tried a few variations on the steps mentioned above which also reproduced the bug. 1. I tried using only one sentence in place of two, following the rest of steps above. When this was done, there were no words visible in Microsoft Word 2016. This showed the illusion that nothing was saved in OpenOffice Writer. I was a bit curious so I pressed (CTRL + A) in MS Word 2016 to copy everything on the page (even if no words were visible) to make sure that the words were not hiding, then I pasted in a new Document in MS Word 2016. Still, nothing was seen pasted. 2. Another variation was using the formats MS Word 95 (.doc) and MS Word 6.0 (.doc). In this case the both sentences are visible, however, it opens in protected view -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
