docx file with Textboxes which are not displayed
When a user opens a file she is not told if there are XML tags in the file
which are not being recognised and she has no knowledge that data in the file
is not being shown.
A simple example of this is opening a .docx file where the author has used the
MS Word Textbox feature. Textbox, and information contained within a Textbox,
are not recognised by Writer and are either not displayed, or parts of the
included text are displayed with other parts missing or displaced.
The user gets no warning that the data is not being displayed.
If the import process checked the XML tage against those which Writer
recognises, an error message such as "Unknown XML tags in file - data may not
be shown - do you with to continue" could be shown alerting the user to
potential missing data.

which contains a good description and images of missing dats, extracts of the
XML, and the .docx file (also attached here).

THis also applies to other programs in the AOO suite but is particularly
relevant to Writer and opening MS Office files, especially .docx files.
