Issue ID: 128050
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Using "Save as..." does not overwrite certain files
Product: Calc
Version: 4.1.5
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 10
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Critical
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: save-export
Assignee: [email protected]

CSV file for reproducing
Reproducible with the attached file.
1) Open attached CSV file with Open Office with the CSV settings shown in the
attached picture
2) Delete the content of the cell A5 with backspace
3) Go to File > Save As...
4) Do not change the name of the file and save it in the same location as to
overwrite it
5) Confirm that the file already exists and that you want to replace it
6) Confirm that you want to keep ODF format
7) Exit Calc
8) Reopen the file
Expected result: the file should have been saved with the modifications.
Actual result: the file has not been saved and contents of the cell A5 are
still present.
Please note that using the function "Save" works as intented, only "Save as.."
seems to present issues. You may wonder why I'm not using "save". The reason is
the only modification I actually need to make to the file is to save it with a
different encoding, and the menu is not available with "Save". You need to use
"Save as..." and tick the "edit filter settings" box in order to change the
encoding.
Marked as "critical" because some users are likely to lose data when they think
their file is saved but it is not.
