> Since you are here, may I ask if you are using `C++ HDFS Support` in the production, [@h-vetinari](https://github.com/h-vetinari) ? I do use many of these technologies in my day job (spark, arrow, orc, hdfs, hadoop, etc.), but my main concern here was as a distributor with an interest in broad compatibility, and someone interested in the success of this ecosystem as a whole. If orc cannot be read from HDFS using C++ anymore, this would not be the end of the world, but it would be an annoying inconsistency for anyone running into this case. Of course, I do understand the realities of volunteer-driven OSS projects. If you think the effort is not worth it, then that's a good reason to drop things. My question was about understanding the problems to see if they can be fixed (which I could potentially help with), but I cannot offer to help with maintenance long-term, so if you want to get rid of this combination, go for it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
