@adoroszlai Can you give me some suggestion here: So we have this feature under development: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-15463. On client side the feature is hidden under a config https://github.com/apache/ozone/blob/d4e3fb861583922d518501548d3fa9c365e7376e/hadoop-hdds/client/src/main/java/org/apache/hadoop/hdds/scm/OzoneClientConfig.java#L339. Meanwhile, I also try to have a DN version number so during development I can have the check for DN compatibility. For example, a pipeline for this feature needs to ensure all DN supporting the feature. In this case, I assume we also need a HDDS version number to indicate on DN. For client config, I understand we can have the config starting from day 0 for a incomplete, under development feature. But how about the practice of HDDSVersion on DN side?
