### Purpose Concurrent readers sharing a Catalog can miss the same cache entry and repeatedly read and decode the same BLOB index. Share one in-flight load per file while preserving cache budgets, failure retries, and independent payload streams. Add a reproducible shard-read benchmark. ### Tests - Related Python tests: 333 passed, 2 skipped (isal and Ray unavailable). - 200,000-row, 8-reader benchmark: one cold index decode; all data checks passed. - Flake8, license headers, and whitespace checks passed. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
