- release_rc.sh / release.sh: refuse non-Apache remotes (RELEASE_REMOTE),
fast-forward before tagging, reject existing RC tags, verify signatures
and required Registry assets before promoting, full VOTE/ANNOUNCE drafts.
- verify_rc.sh: stage toggles, local-artifact mode, isolated GPG keyring and
Go caches, sandbox kept on failure, sha*sum/shasum fallback.
- docs/releasing.md: Registry onboarding, versioning/patch branches,
vote/result/announce flow, RC verification, KEYS setup.
- .gitignore: match the actual -src.tgz source archive name.
Verified: make check, make test-acceptance, make check-license,
update_licenses.sh --check, verify_rc.sh against a locally built archive.
