### Purpose Allow registered table engines to resolve metadata tables such as `t$snapshots` and `t$history` using their own schemas. Follow-up to #733. Linked issue: N/A. ### Brief change log Add a default `resolve_metadata_table` hook and route metadata lookups and existence checks through the declared engine. Preserve Paimon system tables, read-only providers, and authorization and scan-option checks. ### Tests Rust 1.98.0, locally on `44cda80` plus this change: - 80 tests passed: table-type routing (46), system tables (24), time-travel schemas (8), native Object tables (1), and catalog callbacks (1). - `cargo +1.98.0 fmt --all -- --check` - `cargo +1.98.0 clippy --locked -p paimon-datafusion --all-targets -- -D warnings` External-engine tests use a fake resolver and `MemTable`. No live Iceberg catalog end-to-end tests were run. ### API and Format Adds a provided method to `TableEngineResolver`, defaulting to `Ok(None)`. Existing implementations remain compatible. No storage-format changes. ### Documentation Rustdoc describes the new resolver hook. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
