A partial update to a non-clustering column currently makes the whole Data Evolution RowID group eligible for clustering again. Keep the group's trusted clustering level when its ordering keys are unchanged, avoiding unnecessary sorting, RowID reassignment and index maintenance. Resolve physically written columns using the file's historical schema and stable field IDs. Sort-key writes, incompatible clustering definitions and missing-key anchors still lower the group to L0, and any selected rewrite still includes all column versions. Split from #10667 after #10682. Validation: 48 core cases and 2 Flink real-index cases passed locally with static checks enabled. Tests cover schema rename/drop/re-add, historical write layouts, key-only updates, latest non-key values and retained indexes.
