As you say, [~ckulkarni], sounds like a lingering issue with PHOENIX-3547,
which switched the default size of a view index id from a Short to a Long. I
made a change at about the same time to change the way view index ids were
generated (so that views owned by different tenants didn't clash), but that
doesn't sound related, at least at first glance.
Is the column encoding different between the data table and indexes maybe?
