   I'd favor a zip/tgz distribution over a fat jar (aka don't tackle #797, #785
[has a
demo](https://github.com/apache/polaris/pull/785/commits/73e0d369176a96759282dc98e85ce985d4131899#diff-9d27b24567fc9538a50fee123dd1de695fbe2ffaaa31357e6cadeec8d2dfd0f0)
 for this.)

Quarkus "fast jar" builds faster and leaves the individual dependency jars
(although instrumented). IIRC "Quarkus uber-jar" is no longer really
recommended.

A zip/tgz also allows us to include our own files (LICENSE/NOTICE or some
README or whatever) in a "prominent place" next to some `run.sh`.
