Caching javascript doesn't work properly

When I update a javascript in features and javascript compression is on in
config file:
// Compress the inlined javascript, saves upto 50% of the document size
'compress_javascript' => true,
The changes are not taken.
(Maybe I misunderstand the caching mechanism, but I thought that if the file
content is changed,
a cache should be re-generated)
