Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-15600:
------------------------------------

Cool! Let me know how I can help whenever you need something! I was thinking
that perhaps a good and water-tight way to track consent is to have the PR
author include an assertion in the commit message itself, like the one I
proposed above. I don't think we as a project need to double check or obtain
signatures and things like that. It should be enough with an assertion by the
contributor, and that we in good faith trust that the person is an employee
with said company.

> See email from ASF. Solr is in violation of a policy:
> {quote}IMPORTANT: PMCs who list "powered by" companies on their Project sites
> (organizations that are using your project --in their products/solutions or
> otherwise) MUST NOT BE DOING SO ON THE PROJECT HOME PAGE.{quote}
> The reason Solr has not been "detected" until now is that solr was a sub page
> of lucene.apache.org but now the page with the illegal logos is on the HOME
> PAGE of solr.apache.org :)
>
> It should be easy to just put the "powered by" section on a sub page instead
> of on the HOME page of our site.
>
> This should be done within September 2021.
