I don't think we should stuff Solr core with dependencies that are not search
related. If every orchestration layer or integration required us to put in
dependencies into core, then Solr would become bloatware that everyone would
dislike.
I think as part of this effort, we should build pluggable interfaces by which a
separate package/plugin/jar can be used to provide a kubernetes impl, but spare
others who don't need this. Such an impl can stay in solr-extras or
solr-operator repos.
