Do you find you can't review the change locally? If I cherry pick, I can then view the commit in my IDE (IntelliJ) pretty easily, and fix up the commit if something went wrong (if anything probably CHANGES.txt -- argh!). And of course at least run "precommit". Doing a PR has more (boring) steps -- need a branch to push (naming), create the PR, remembering to choose branch_9x. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
