David Smiley commented on SOLR-17321: ------------------------------------- If we bring the URL/URI business to 9x, _ideally_ it would have its own JIRA because the Java 21 issue (this issue) isn't going to 9x yet we'd like this part in 9x. The "Fix Version" for this issue will be main (10) but the URL/URI could then be 9.7. But this URL/URI business is minor internal stuff that should affect nobody so I'm comfortable with less bureaucracy here. At least clarify this very much in the commit message to 9x to say this is a *part of* SOLR-17321 . Also, in 9x if any part gives us grief, we can skip those parts. We're only partially bringing some aspects to 9x to align the branches more. > Bump minimum required Java version to 21 > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-17321 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-17321 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Task > Security Level: Public(Default Security Level.
