since the last update, solr's coordinators are not managed by a synthetic
collection anymore. that on it's own is not necessarily a bad thing, but along
the way we lot the ability to reload update and delete all the cores related to
the same configset in one request.
this is significantly less user friendly then what we had and might pose a
problem for high load/high scale production management
