Thanks @alessandrobenedetti! I can create additional Jira stories for the remaining work, including improving the documentation. The current state landing in 10.1 is that `knnAlgorithm=flat` is supported for both `DenseVectorField` and `ScalarQuantizedDenseVectorField`. The caveat is that searching with the `knn` and `vectorSimilarity` query parsers are only currently supported for the scalar variant, and `func vectorSimilarity` is supported for both. It will require additional work to support the knn query parsers for DenseVectorField as it's not natively supported in the Lucene class it delegates to.
