Closing as a duplicate of #824. Two separate things came up in this thread: the GCS location problem, which was answered here (the operator's default location `/` is not valid for GCS, so a `baseLocation` is required), and the backup that never reaches a terminal state because the async status returns `notfound` — that second one is tracked in #824, with a deterministic reproduction and the code paths identified. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
