Scala 2.12 support is still experimental and we don't want to complicate our
release too much. Think about [all supported Hadoop versions] x [all supported
Scala versions], we will need to provide a lot of Spark builds. The without
Hadoop version should be enough for trying.
BTW, for the Maven repo, the URL for RC5 is
