[~wypoon], this sounds like a good solution. Sending the information at task 
end would make sure that the information (for peak values for the stage) is as 
complete as possible. This will also provide information for short stages, 
which might not have much (or any) information captured by the heartbeat. The 
number of concurrent stages should be small, so the amount of extra information 
sent for each heartbeat would also be limited.
