Probably the code size is different because the design is actually quite
different, and more requirements from here addressed (though I'd say they don't
seem to be critical requirements and can take back).
I'd encourage you to take the time to read through all comments here and the
doc, and take
code amount as just one of aspects. There're another aspects design,
logical/physical plan, considerations, etc. You'll need to understand most
details between twos anyway to decide and even review/play with the code.
