The expected behavior of non-outer stream-steam join in Update mode is obvious,
same with Append mode. There doesn't seem to be any reason to block it.
(There could be some argument about the expected behavior of "outer"
stream-stream join in Update mode, hence it's out of scope in this ticket.)
