In {{DiskBlockManager}}, the directory that is created (when it is created) is
registered for deletion at shutdown, right after the call to
{{createDirectory}}. Same in {{HttpFileServer}} and {{SparkEnv}} as they all
call {{Utils.createTempDir}}.
Are you looking at executors / apps that failed, maybe? or still running?
