client docs and apparently it says that

On the other side I'm not sure if old kafka consumers can support kerberos, my
main reason to upgrade is to make use of SASL_PLAINTEXT. In which case the most
feasible option for me at the moment looks like to make use of opaque spouts.
Do you have any timeline in mind for backporting the bugfixes to 1.0.x?
Apparently, I can't wait for storm-kafka-client to become stable.
If not I'll have to upgrade storm to 1.2.x, but then any timeline on on when
can the fix make it to 1.2.2 may be?
