I agree that we should keep this ticket open, now that the security
vulnerability has been emphasized. Thank you for pointing that out.
I don't agree that we should keep tickets open until we are sure it's *not* a
bug. Those discussions should happen on the mailing lists, where more people
participate. We should encourage people to verify something is a bug on the
lists first, and then file the issue, preferably with a patch or other
suggestion for a fix. Otherwise, we end up providing support through JIRA,
which is not our intention.
