OK, then the title of the issue should be: "Client-side Javascript validation 
functions don't get generated when using Guice for dependency injection".  
Configured as described here: 
http://code.google.com/p/google-guice/wiki/Struts2Integration .  As you've 
implied, maybe this should be filed against Guice, not Struts2... but, if 
Struts2 allows for replacement of the DI implementation, one could argue that 
said replacement should not break Struts2.  Replacement of the DI 
implementation seems to be both supported and documented 
(http://struts.apache.org/2.3.1.1/docs/dependency-injection.html), so at the 
very least a note about this breakage would be appropriate.
