Vidmantas Maskoliunas commented on WW-3883:
-------------------------------------------
copy/paste from FLEX-11917:
--------------------------------
Expected Results:
The plus sign is a valid character for email addresses as referenced in RFC
2822 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2822.html)
Its use has gained popularity with its support in Gmail to allow custom
filtering.
--------------------------------
GMail allows any suffix to the first part of the email address (before @)
separated by + sign. E.g. [email protected],
[email protected] will both reach the [email protected] inbox.
Therefore this character should be considered as a valid one in emails, while
EmailValidator does not take it into account and rejects +'s in email addresses
> EmailValidator does not allow to use + (plus sign) in emails
