Eric, I am not saying your idea is bad. I just don't know if it can be
accomplished. With JSP tag libraries, the TLD can't specify the method; only
the attribute name. The JavaBean spec chooses the method and I don't think you
can overload getter method names. This is the problem I expect to occur, but I
am not 100% sure.
