Daniel Shahaf commented on SVN-4857:
------------------------------------
The obvious per-computer working copy identifier is the wcroot_abspath (= path
to the working copy), but:
1. We'd have to have an opt-in for that.
2. (IP address, wcroot_abspath) may not be unique if the IP address is the
external address of an IPv4 NAT gateway.
3. The wcroot_abspath is not already available to the server, so making this
happen would require marshalling a new datum over the RA layer. That's not
hard, but is a bit of work.
Shall we continue the discussion on on dev@? Chris, you're welcome to join the
thread as well.
> Add PC Name to lock

> Key: SVN-4857

> Project: Subversion
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: libsvn_ra_svn, libsvn_repos, mod_dav_svn, svnserve
> Environment: Windows
> Reporter: Chris
> Priority: Minor
>
> Add check box in configuration that appends the PC Name along with current
> user to the locked by field. I log into multiple PC's using the same user
> name, and modify a common repo on all of them. At the end of the day it gets
> confusing which PC's had specific locks. All I know is that they are all
> locked by my user name.
