Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Bullet font not saving correctly
Classification: Application
Product: Word processor
Version: OOO330m20
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Priority: P3
Component: save-export
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
When writing a document and using bullets, the bullets appear as the default
round dots until the document is saved, closed, and reopened. The bullets then
appear as strange symbols.
The save format is MS Word 97/2000/XP.
Examining the bullet properties in "bullets and numbering" after initially
saving and reopening the document, I notice the bullet character type has
changed from "Bullet" to "WW8Num6z0" (or a close variation of that name) for
all levels of bullets and level 1 bullet's character font is Wingdings 2. I
can change this back by editing the character font to Tahoma, General
Punctuation, and selecting the appropriate bullet. However, this must be done
for each bullet section which is not practical.
It appears to me the default font information is not saving correctly with the
document. I have opened the same document, after the initial save, with MS
Word 2007 and the bullets are the Wingdings 2 font. When manually changing the
font back to Tahoma (or whatever I choose), as described above, and saving and
reopening the document, the font will be as I had manually set it.
