Example ODT file with rotated text in a table
We have a document that requires text in one of its tables to be rotated 180
degrees. In order to do that we set the "Text direction" setting on the "Text
Flow" tab of the table's "Table Format" dialog to "Right-to-left(vertical)" We
then set the "Rotation / scaling" setting on the "Position" tab of the table's
text "Character" dialog to "270 degrees". This has the net effect of rotating
text entered into the cells of the table 180 degrees. The rotated text is
displayed properly in Writer but when we export the document to PDF all the
rotated text in a table cell is overwritten in the right most character
position in the cell.
I have attached an ODT file and the resulting PDF file that demonstrate the
problem. We had been using this technique to rotate text with OO 2.1 for
several years and never had this problem with exported PDFs. We are now
upgrading to OO 3.X and have verified this is a problem in OO 3.1.1 and OO 3.3.
