[~aplusplus] - the patch looks good to me. Assuming you've tried building it
against Hadoop 2 and Hadoop3 ?
[~jeagles] - will this conflict with the netty version used in the custom
shuffle handler / or does the branch need a specific netty dependency as well?
I'll look into setting up a Daily / weekly jenkins job to build against
Hadoop-3.
