This is unfortunately how it works (currently). I'm thinkign, we might want to
make a copy of the "pristine" request header object before remapping, clean out
all the code around logging the pristine data, and add another directive to
logging to get components out of this (new) pristine host header object.
Moving this out to 3.1.4 for now.
