Igor Galić commented on TS-2335: -------------------------------- Perhaps to avoid namespace pollution, we could move move the old Lua plugin to {{plugins/deprecated}}, and name this one lua again from the start. From what I gather, the consensus on the mailing list was to replace the old plugin with this one. Given that the old plugin was experimental, and we've decided that all bets regarding compatibility and stability are off in experimental, I'm fairly certain we can just do that. I'd move it, for easy reference into {{plugins/deprecated}}, remove it from the build, and once the new plugin has absorbed all of its features, remove it all together. > Putting Alibaba Lua plugin into /experimental > --------------------------------------------- > > Key: TS-2335 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-2335 > Project: Traffic Server > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Plugins > Reporter: Kit Chan > Assignee: Kit Chan > Fix For: 4.2.0 > > Attachments: 0001-add.patch, ts-lua.patch > > > There is an awesome plugin created by Alibaba engineer - portl4t > https://github.com/portl4t/ts-lua/ > There is a mail thread on dev mailing list and the author agrees to put it to > ATS source as well. > So I would like to start things off with filing a jira first. > I think it would be nice to put it into /experimental/ to start things first. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.1.5#6160)
