Revert "TS-3388: add --enable-coverage build option"
Reverting this for now, it breaks things badly. I got the
impression it'd only affect builds when enabled, but it seems
to affect all builds.
This reverts commit c09aee845322a73b9ec669d069379b5f02cd7d3d.
