That is exactly the situation. It seems I wasn't very clear. All the message in "testfldr" on nerdbox were synced to gmail - showing only in "All Mail" and not in "testfldr". When I applied the "testfldr" label to them, a second copy of each message was synced to the "testfldr" folder on nerdbox.
