Ah yes, in September of 2008. Time flies. I did not make further progress
in tracking it down, unfortunately.

This was far before the current master and before the async branch.
(Slightly related, the async work sounds exciting.) I don't remember
how frequently I would see this or what message I would see, so I'm
not too confident I'll catch it again. But if I think of a reasonable
way to catch it, what might be helpful to know? Running with -V and
within strace -tt?


It appears that you have you disinfected your signature from that signature
virus it had in 2008. :)
