Hi,

I have trouble making mbsync connect to gmail via Socks5 tunnel (using
tsocsk program) :

$ tsocks mbsync bateast
Reading configuration file /home/fouques/.mbsyncrc
Channel bateast
Opening master gmail...
Resolving imap.gmail.com... ok
Connecting to imap.gmail.com (74.125.136.109:993)...
Opening slave local...

Options -D or -V give nothing (I guess they gives informations on message
handling, not connection state).

lsof -i shows that a connection is made to my proxy by mbsync

In direct connection, there is no problem to sync with gmail.

I don't know if Socks5 proxy or tsocks is a known issue and whether they is
a workaround or a good way to deal with.

Thanks in advance, I hope I could use your great program …
