Are you sure that you are not hitting Google's IMAP bandwidth limits?

Judging by your output, you are doing initial synchronization. I went
through a lot of variants of my configuration when I was setting up
gmail sync, and it took a few days because I kept hitting the download
limit. Obviously, incremental syncs afterwards should run just fine.
