Experienced J2EE Developer / Analytical consultants needed for a large business
to business website. The position is for a Web Application Developer who will
have responsibility to design, develop and delivery enhanced functionality on
the primary website of client.
Projects include:
Releasing customer requested functionality on the website and developing
these projects using the latest technology to stay current with today's
standards.
Releasing functionality on the website to stay current with our competitors.
Updating and enhancing the client web site experience.
Education and work experience required:
BS or equivalent qualification.
5+ years experience in Java, STRUTS, J2EE, SOA, XML and other Internet related
technologies.
Strong in Struts configuration and development on Struts based architecture.
Preferred Broadvision Commerce and Enterprise 6.0 - 7.1. and Publishing Center
Good understanding of http request life cycle.
Good to have experience with Web Services and JBoss.
Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX.
Test Driven Development using JUnit.
Good understanding of Object Oriented design and programming methodologies.
Knowledge of Open Source and Scripting languages like Python.
Good understanding of DB. Oracle 8-9i
Experience with version control applications and build process (Subversion
preferred)
Exposure to Search Experience on Retail or B2B websites and Altavista Search
Engine is advantageous.
Exposure to Lean Software development.
Job requirements:
To be able to analyze, design, develop the functionality as part of the team.
Work with a team in improving the experience on the website.
Work within the development team to enhance functionality on the site.
The Web Application Developer will be responsible for enhancing the broadvision
based content management system and enhancing the email marketing capabilities,
support the client web site and other initiatives. They will be analyzing,
designing, developing and reviewing the code required for the projects and
providing status updates to management.
