Urgent requirement for AS/400 Sr PA Qty: 3 Desired Start Date: 10/6/2008 Desired End Date: 4 Months Bill Rate: $52/hr The manager is looking for a SENIOR LEVEL RPG Programmer who will assist with the development of project deliverables and technical documentation for auditing purposes within the GSS-EIT-OWOW process. The programmer is expected to work closely with the project manager and assigned tech lead to understanding designs and developing against them. In addition they will need to create specified associated technical documentation for the project and will work closely with the application technical team members to test to ensure business requirements are successfully met. They will participate in application test planning after unit testing and environment setup for UAT. Sr RPG Programmer DELIVERABLES: Technical Project documents, Workflows and Data Models., Status Reports, estimated efforts with requested changes, and Unit Test results. Minimum 5 years development experience in the I-series RECENT Experience with RPG ILE programs and modules Experience with unit testing and integration testing Experience with embedded SQL development Analysis and Solution Definition. Understands client organization's direction, structure, and requirements. Analyzes client organization's industry and competitive position. Documents and analyzes required information and data. Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations. To work with business owners and delivery workstreams to develop optimal workflow diagrams and business models including process, data and organization to document current system functionalities through the creation of documentation. To develop sound and accurate Change Request Analysis and impact to the project. Technical Recommendation and Testing Understands technical design specifications. Defines test conditions. Assists in the development of accurate and complete test plans. Assists with testing according to plan. Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions. Identifies assumptions, risks and scope creep. Project Execution Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Takes input from Project Manager and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback. Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently. Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas. Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively. Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project. Produces weekly reports for the project manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies. Problem Solving Understands how various issues affect each other and the outcome of project. Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills. Problem solving skills. Ability to use inquiry and query tools on the applications helpful. Diplomacy. Demonstrate best development skills. Innovative, creative, flexible. Understands basic client/server architectures.
